Summer reading program kickoff
Rheinland-Pfalz Library is hosting a summer reading program to encourage reading throughout the summer months for library patrons of all ages. Come out to the summer reading program kick-off party at 11 a.m. Thursday. Take this opportunity to learn more, sign up and receive your summer reading program game boards and other materials. Where in the Library is Vinicus?
In celebration of the “Read for the Win” summer reading program, Rheinland-Pfalz Library is hosting a fun challenge for children ages 12 and under. From Thursday through July 29, the library staff will hide their Olympic mascot, Vinicus, in a new location each day. The first child to find Vinicus wins a prize! No cost to participate. Youth Center summer activities
Looking for a fun way to keep your youth occupied during the summer months? U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Youth Programs offers several activities throughout summer for youth in grades 6 through 12. Visit Garmisch, Tropical Islands Resort, Italy or one of the many fun amusement parks in Germany. Programming runs from June 19 to August 27. Shark Week at Rheinland-Pfalz Library

Tots and Tales Storytime
Tots and Tales Storytime at Rheinland-Pfalz Library in Landstuhl is an entertaining event with flannel board fun, fingerplays, songs, activities and nursery rhymes. It promotes educational development and reading readiness in young children, ages 12 to 24 months. Tots and Tales Storytime is held at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Sign up in advance. Preschool Storytime
The Rheinland-Pfalz Library in Landstuhl hosts a storytime for preschool-aged children 3 to 5 years old from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday. EFMP Storytime

Lapsit Storytime
Join the Rheinland-Pfalz Library for Lapsit Storytime. This infant storytime is held at 10:30 a.m and 1 p.m. every Thursday. The event includes sensory crafts, songs, fingerplays and stories. Light refreshments are available for the parents. Because of limited space, sign-up is required for every storytime. A wait list is also available, in which parents are notified the Saturday prior if a space has become available.
