Special Events at Kaiserslautern Christmas Market


The Christmas market in Kaiserslautern will present a live nativity
scene 5 p.m. Monday on Schillerplatz. A horse farm will show how
animals celebrate Christmas. The Goldway Pipers will play music before
the Kaiserslautern Zoo will open its petting zoo from 5 to 7 p.m. The
school orchestra of the Kurpfalz Realschule will perform 6 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, interested children can make figures out of soapstone 2 to 6
p.m. Waymond Harding, known as “King of Soul,” will sing 6 to 9 p.m.
Santa Claus will read and sing to children 4 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

High wire acrobat Falko Traber, dressed as Santa Claus, will present a
Christmas high wire show at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Children
will receive gifts.
 
The traditional turkey raffle with 30 turkeys will be 6 p.m.Tickets to
participate in the raffle are available at all booths and should be
given to Santa Claus starting 5 p.m. The Marquardt Dance School will
entertain the audience with a special dance program 4:40 to 5:30 p.m.

The Kolping Brass Orchestra Kaiserslautern will perform Christmas music 6 p.m. Dec. 16.
