Half Marathon

The TSG Kaiserslautern together with the VIACTIV Krankenkasse invites all runners, joggers and recreational athletes to take part in the 39th Kaiserslautern half marathon on Sun. March 22 at Bertha-von-Suttner School (Schulzentrum Süd), Im Stadtwald 2, 67663 Kaiserslautern. Distance 21,0975 km (13.1 miles); The running course is an officially approved half-marathon round course with minor elevation differences. One-Day Soccer Camps

SKIES Unlimited will be offering various one-day soccer camps taught by professional soccer coaches on Rhine Ordnance Bks., Bldg. 229. Happy Feet Youth Soccer Program

Introduce your children ages 2-3 to the fun sport of soccer! Parents alongside their children are shown basic soccer skills as well as how to develop the child’s motor, social and psychological skills. Inspire your toddler to be active, strong, confident and well balanced to unleash their awesome both on and off the field. Modules will use fundamental soccer activities and games to develop their skills in balance, agility and coordination, technical skills, gross motor skills, physical development, social skills, self-confidence, communication, and teamwork. Open to boys and girls from ages 2-3 and all military I.D. cardholders that are registered with CYS Services. Do you have what it takes to make the cut to represent the Army at Armed Forces, National, and International competitions? St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run

Get in the Irish spirit with one of the most spirited runs of the year! On March 13 at the Hall of Champions, registration opens at 8 a.m. with the race kicking off at 9 a.m. Dress in your best Irish garb and run for your chance to earn medals as the first, second and third place in adult male and female, youth under 11, and youth over 12. First place medals will also be awarded to those for first Stroller Pusher and Runner with Pet. Start Smart Soccer/Baseball

Start Smart is a “child/parent interactive” sports program lead by a Sports & Fitness Specialist for ages 3-4. Sessions are 45 minutes long and are held twice a week for 3 weeks starting in late April running through early June. Sessions are offered on Landstuhl, Sembach & Baumholder. Cost is $25. Registration opened Feb. 1 and lasts till Mar. 13, or until sessions are full. Register through WebTrac, by phone, or in person at Parent Central Services.
