Basketball tournament

A two-on-two basketball tournament for ages 5 to 21 years old will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ramstein village community center gymnasium basketball court. Teams are now able to sign up; registration fee is €5. A DJ, hamburgers and drinks will be offered at the tournament. To register and for more information, call 06371-46-6742.

Summer Skate 2016

Skate at Crossroads will be every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. for $6 a day during Summer Skate at Crossroads Skate Rink. Summer Skate will run through Aug. 25 and is open to all ID cardholders, not just students. The Crossroads Skate Rink is located on Vogelweh in Bldg. 2053.

Unit-level softball championships

Cheer on your favorite unit-level team at the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz unit-level softball championships. Games will be held at
6 p.m. daily Monday to Thursday at the Kaiserslautern Army Depot field near Daenner Kaserne. The championship game will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. The top six teams from the season league will participate, and the first- and second-place teams from the championships will advance to the Installation Management Command-Europe tournament. The Color Run

The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Detachment 4 booster club will sponsor The Color Run August 13 at Southside Fitness Center on Ramstein. Checkin will be held at 8 a.m.; the run will begin at 9 a.m. Early registration costs $35 until July 31. Registration the day of the event costs $45. Children 12 years old and younger run for free. WELLBEATS™ now available

WELLBEATS™ programs are now available at all U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz fitness centers. Formerly known as Fitness On Request, WELLBEATS™ provides a safe place for newcomers to learn and master the fundamentals of dozens of classes, including: yoga, Pilates, step, dance, cycling, kickboxing, strength training, pre- and post-natal and more. Classes are 35 to 50 minutes in length, and there is no cost. Classes may be reserved for Soldier physical training from 6 to 7:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Disc Golf at Pulaski Park

Get your game on! Outdoor Recreation now offers Disc Golf at Pulaski Park. Grab a team, pick up a Frisbee and take advantage of this interactive flying disc game that requires precision and accuracy. The brand new Disc Golf course at Pulaski Park is open for public use. Frisbees may be rented from Outdoor Recreation, or you may bring your own. Parent exercise room

The Landstuhl and Sembach fitness centers each bring you an exercise room for parents that features the latest in cardio equipment and offers a play area for your little ones to safely play or watch movies while you work out. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes

SKIESUnlimited now offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in two different levels: Little Grapplers, ages 5 to 17 years old; and Bully Busters, ages 8 to 13 years old. Each level teaches basic self-defense techniques while instilling the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu foundational principles of leverage and control. Bully Busters focuses on a set curriculum of nonviolent, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-based self-defense techniques that teach children to neutralize and negotiate with bullies.
