Superhero 5K run/walk

Join Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and the Army Substance Abuse Program for this year’s Red Ribbon Run Superhero 5K Saturday. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the United States. Registration is free and will be held the day of the event from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Sembach Fitness Center. The run begins at 11:30 a.m. After the run, there will be a costume contest, dance demos, prizes, food, drinks and more. Awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners of the adult and child costume contests. Open to community members of all ages. Ohmbachsee half marathon

The 7th annual Ohmbachsee half marathon will be held Sunday at the Turnhalle, Feld Strasse 9, 66904 Bruecken. Check-in and bib pickup are at 8 a.m. The race will begin at 10 a.m. and end around 1 p.m. The cost for adults is €10 and €8 for students. Payment is due Sunday at the time of check-in. Flag football championships

Unit-level flag football teams from across Europe will face off in the Installation Management Command Europe flag football championships Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz has the pleasure of hosting the championships at the Kaiserslautern Army Depot Field near Daenner Kaserne and the Vogelweh Fitness Center flag football fields. A mandatory coaches meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 30 followed by the opening ceremony at 10 a.m., both at Kleber Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235. Triple Threat Fitness Day

Slim and tone three common trouble zones at once. The Triple Threat Fitness Day will combine 30 minutes of spin, 30 minutes of muscle conditioning and 30 minutes of yoga to give you a total body workout. The event will be held on from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14 at Sembach Fitness Center, Bldg. 105. Open to ID cardholders ages 18 and older. The event costs $4. Turkey Bowl flag football

Disc Golf at Pulaski Park

Outdoor Recreation now offers Disc Golf at Pulaski Park. Grab a team, pick up a Frisbee and take advantage of this interactive flying disc game that requires precision and accuracy. The brand-new Disc Golf course at Pulaski Park is open for public use. Frisbees may be rented from Outdoor Recreation, or you may bring your own. Functional Fitness

Functional Fitness classes are available at Kleber Fitness Center. Get in shape with constantly varied functional movements at high intensity. Class days and times are from 5:30 to 6:15 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Cost: $4 per class. Early morning classes are free to active-duty military in PT uniform. Wrestling officials needed

The Department of Defense Dependents Schools’ wrestling season will soon begin and there is a serious shortage of officials to support the upcoming season. Recreational soccer Sundays

Play soccer from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday at the Miesau Army Depot soccer field and at the Pulaski Barracks soccer field. New Massage and Yoga Studio

A brand-new Massage and Yoga Studio has opened on Pulaski Barracks, Bldg. 2899. Massages are available by appointment and include: prenatal, Swedish, deep tissue, sports and oncology. Price: $55 per one hour; $40 per half hour. Vinyasa Yoga classes are available from noon to 12:45 p.m. Mondays; 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays; and noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays. Price: $4 per class or $30 for 10 classes. Additional classes will become available in the near future.
