Soldiers from the 7th Civil Support Command and the 21st Theater Sustainment Command gathered in the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center on Daenner Kaserne Nov. 19 to 21 to conduct quarterly foreign consequence management
training.
The commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor, traveled to four separate military installations dispersed throughout northern Italy during a site visit conducted Sept. 10 and 11.
Soldiers, families and friends of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s 21st Special Troops Battalion enjoyed food, fun and camaraderie Sept. 6 during an organizational day at Pulaski Park on Vogelweh Miliary Complex.
During a joint and coalition training exercise, in a room that was populated with colonels, sergeants major, staff level NCOs and field grade officers, sat a single private first class. She was soft spoken and new to the coalition environment, but she learned quickly and adapted to any task she was given. For three weeks, she showed the members of the simulated higher command what it means to be “First in Support.”
Members of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s 16th Sustainment Brigade partnered with Soldiers from U.S. Army Europe, the 409th Contracting Support Brigade and the Croatian army to form the Operation Immediate Response 13 Mayor’s Cell at Petar Zrinski Barracks Aug. 19 to 31.
The 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s senior enlisted adviser discussed Army force structure, the role of the American Soldier and the vital importance of the U.S.-German partnership with a unique group of junior officers Aug. 28 at the Center for Leadership Philosophy in Koblenz.
Soldiers who have deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn have the shared experience of being issued and reissued ballistic plates for their body armor. Part of ensuring plates are combat ready involves a detailed inspection process to identify defective plates and remove them from circulation.
