Sembach Elementary School second- and third-grade students completed “Hour of Code” during Computer Science Education Week Dec. 5 through 11 at SES. The objective of Hour of Code is to get more students interested in computer programming, putting them on track to take computer science jobs in the future. Parents, friends and students join in for the Chicken Dance Oct. 20 at Sembach Elementary School. SES students performed several traditional folk dances and families competed in a chili cook-off as part of the SES Parent Teacher Organization monthly meeting.

Sembach school goes green

Sembach Elementary School students and staff have added a new hue to their trademark blue and yellow school colors. Members of the garrison’s Directorate of Public Works helped the school go green April 22 as part of an Earth Day celebration.
