THE HOUSING HYPE!

KMC Military Family Housing residents
The fall season is upon us, the leaves are changing colors and the weather is getting cooler. Before the holidays arrive, please take all necessary steps to prepare for the fall season and keep your yard looking its best. Please keep in mind while temperatures are dropping, unwelcomed visitors are looking for warm places to call home, leaving your garage doors closed will help prevent the possibility of critters in your homes.

KMC MFH Townhome Residents
Residents may display one current official U.S. flag. With the exception of service flags for General Officers, no other flags may be displayed on the homes within MFH. Mounts shall be placed on the street-facing side of the column, 4 feet from the ground with a spot light from dusk to dawn. Thank you for being good stewards and honoring the U.S. flag.

Are you cold in your MFH residence?
Townhouse heating systems are never shut off. However, they are controlled via sensors that prevent systems from functioning until outside temperature reaches 21 degrees Celsius/70 degrees Fahrenheit. If the outside temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, turn your control to the desired number setting to reach the warmth of your preference. If your systems are not functioning, please contact Vectrus for assistance at 06371-463-9510.
Stairwell and Duplex units’ heating systems are controlled through the installation’s district heating system. Per Installation Heating system policy: “Five consecutive days with average daily outside temperatures below 55 degrees Fahrenheit and a five-day forecast for more of the same, as determined by the weather squadron, must be met prior to district heat activation.” Historically, this has usually occurrs during the first two weeks in October.
