Attention Retirees
Army Dental Retiree Appreciation Day will be Oct. 23. All Army Dental Clinics within the KMC (Baumholder, Kleber, Landstuhl & Pulaski) will be providing dental treatment to military retirees only, regardless of what branch you served, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Family members will not be scheduled. Dental treatment will range from exam and cleanings to limited fillings. After scheduling but before attending the appointment, each retiree must go to their respective dental clinic between 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. to update their medical history and X-rays. Please ensure you have your DD Form 2 Retired ID card with you. Please call your specific Army dental clinic below to schedule an appointment. 2019 KMC Retiree Appreciation Day
On behalf of the 86th Airlift Wing Commander and USAG-Rheinland-Pfalz Commander, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 2019 KMC Retiree Appreciation Day on Oct. 22 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. All Military and DOD Civilian retirees, spouses, widows and widowers are invited to attend. The event will start at 8 a.m. with sign in. The official program will start at 9:30 a.m., please get there in time to be seated by 8:30 a.m. for breakfast. There will be an afternoon information fair starting at noon. In addition, there will be static displays on the flightline where this year the USO will provide refreshments. More news will be forthcoming as the Retiree Appreciation Day Committee finalizes events. Please RSVP for the RAD and the flightline displays if you plan on participating in both via email with your full name, rank and number in your party, the deadline is no later than Oct. 14. Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drone) use over Ramstein Air Base
DOD guidance restricts the use of all commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) unmanned aerial systems (UAS) within DOD installation boundaries. If you observe a UAS being operated on Ramstein Air Base, please contact 86th Security Forces Squadron immediately at DSN 480-2050/2366. There is no recreational Drone/UAS/RPA use permitted on Ramstein AB at this time.

Road construction A62
Until Dec. 2019, Autobahn 62, between the on-ramp Glan-Muenchweiler and Kusel exit, only one lane will be open due to extensive construction work for the renovation of the drainage.

New hours in Baumholder legal office
The Baumholder Client Services (Legal Assistance and Claims) has new operating hours. Mon, Tue and Wed, 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.; Thu closed; Fri, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 531-2445.
