Closures
The KMC Housing offices will be closed Monday for an American holiday. Normal hours will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Exchange stores hold inventory
The Exchange stores in the KMC have upcoming scheduled inventory days and will be closed. Pumps at the 24-hour gas stations on Ramstein and Pulaski will remain open during inventory times. Signs will be posted. The dates are:  
Saturday — Sembach store
Monday — Kleber Express/tent
Thursday — Ramstein (KMCC) main store/book store/Express (concessions and food court will remain open)
Jan. 26 — Landstuhl gas/Express
Jan. 29 — Ramstein new 24 hour gas/Express (closes at 7:30 a.m.)
Jan. 29 — ROB Express
Jan. 30 — Ramstein Southside Express
Jan. 31 — Pulaski 24 hour gas/Express (closes at 7:30 a.m.)
Feb. 1 — Kleber Military Clothing Sales
Feb. 1 — Ramstein Military Clothing Store

Community forum
U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern and the 21st Theater Sustainment Command are holding a community forum from noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 29 at Armstrong’s Club on Vogelweh. Do you have questions for community leaders or local concerns you’d like addressed? Want to know more about KMC programs and activities? Looking to network with spouses, service members and civilians? If so, then this town hall-style forum is for you. Community leaders will present information and answer questions. Managers from the commissary, the Exchange, Department of Defense Dependents Schools and others will also be there. Plus, you’ll get to meet key people in the community and learn more about local opportunities. Submit your questions in advance at www.kaiserslautern.army.mil.

Education fair
An education fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center food court. The event will be hosted by AFN/the Eagle morning DJs Demarrio Spence and Gene Muller.

Neighborhood watch training
The next neighborhood watch training for Vogelweh and Landstuhl housing residents will take place at 5 p.m. Jan. 31 in Bldg. 2787 (adjacent to NCOA), second floor security forces training, on Kapaun. Award banquet
The 435th Air Ground Operations Wing’s annual award banquet will take place at
6 p.m. Feb. 8 at Armstrong’s Club on Vogelweh. Contact your first sergeant for tickets.

National Prayer Luncheon
The Ramstein Chapel is hosting the 86th Airlift Wing National Prayer Luncheon at
11:30 a.m. Feb. 11 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. Payment can be made at the Ramstein North Chapel, with the squadron’s first sergeant or after all Ramstein worship services from Tuesday through Feb. 5. The price for the meal is $5. The guest speaker will be retired Maj. Gen. Charles Baldwin, Air Force chief of

English garbage guide
Kaiserslautern’s waste management and city cleaning company, ASK, recently published the Garbage Guide of the City of Kaiserslautern in English. The guide provides American citizens with information regarding waste management and gives tips as to how to separate trash the right way and how to dispose of trash. It also lists important points of contact. The garbage guide is available in the Kaiserslautern Rathaus (city hall) and in the German-American Community Office on Lauterstrasse 2.

Parade participants needed
The Ramstein Carnival Association Bruchkatze is looking for American individuals, bands and walking groups dressed in costumes who would like to participate in the annual Fasching parade Feb. 12 in the center of Ramstein-Miesenbach. Anybody interested in joining the parade or requiring more information should

RAO moved
The Retiree Activities Office moved to Bldg. 2120, Room 104 in the Ramstein Airman & Family Readiness Center (across the parking lot from the enlisted club).
