Surviving spouse and family member workshop

The Retiree Activities Office will hold a surviving spouse workshop Saturday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. on Ramstein, Building 306A — The USAFE AFRICOM Conference Center. The Workshop starts with a series of informational briefings followed by one-on-one appointments with counselors. Attendees will go through the Casualty Checklist/Process and things to plan for — checklist and other handouts will be provided.  If you have not attended one of these before it is strongly recommended that both the retired member and spouse or family member attend. Firing range trespass notice

The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron Combat Arms firing range complex is located on Kapaun Air Station, Bldg. 2958. The range complex is located off-base in the northwest corner of Kapaun and is surrounded by a perimeter fence clearly marked by danger signs. When firing is in progress, red range flags or red flashing beacons will be visible from the entrance of the range complex. Unauthorized entry to the range complex is illegal and hazardous due to gunfire and airborne lead particles. RAO director, KMC retiree council co-chair needed

The Retiree Activities Office, a volunteer-based organization that supports retirees, active-duty members, and spouses throughout the KMC, has an immediate opening for a new director. The RAO functions as a liaison between the retiree population and the 86th AW commander. Separately, the KMC retiree council needs a volunteer to be the co-chair. The KMC retiree council focuses on outreach to the KMC retiree community and their families.
