Bike path
A new bike path opened along B270 between Kaiserslautern Hohenecken and the “cloverleaf” at Pariser Strasse. In addition, the existing traffic light at the entrance to Washington Square will be expanded.

City administration closure
Kaiserslautern’s City Administration and GACO will be closed Monday, May 27. Normal business hours will be resumed Tuesday.

Retire in Germany briefing
The next Retire in Germany Briefing will be conducted on May 31, 1 p.m., on Ramstein Air Base, Bldg. 2402, classroom #3. If you wish to attend please contact the 86th AW Retiree Activities Office at email: 86aw.rao@us.af.mil, or call at 06371-47-5485, DSN 480-5486, to sign up.

Road closure
State road 369, between Mackenbach and Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof will be closed Saturday, May 25, 4 p.m. until Monday, May 27, 2 a.m. due to bridge construction for the new ROB Medical Center. The East gate will be accesible coming from Mackenbach, and from Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof to the new roundabout. The redirection route via Rodenbach is signposted with U1 and U2 respectively.

Kapaun Gate closure
Sat/Sun/Mon: Gate-1 will be closed to all traffic.
Tue: Gate-1 will be open from 6 to 9 a.m. only and closed for the remainder of the day.
Pulaski Gate will be open for all in-/outbound traffic.
Wed: Normal hours will resume

LRMC Emergency Department
The LRMC Emergency Department will be transitioning to a new documentation system beginning on May 29. Patients visiting the ED for routine appointments during the transition may experience longer than normal weight times. Non-acute care should be scheduled via an appointment with the person’s primary care provider, or they can call the Nurse Advice Line, available 24 hours a day, and they can also book appointments online at www.tricareonline.com.
