Road Surface Renovation – Pariser Strasse to Arizona Boulevard

To ensure traffic safety, repair of the asphalt surface on Pariser Strasse will be carried out from June 22 to July 23. The existing asphalt layer will be milled and new asphalt applied. The construction site stretches from the Clover Leaf to Arizona Boulevard (Armstrong Gate), work will be carried out in three phases. During the construction period, traffic will be directed past the site in a single lane in both directions. This may lead to restrictions entering/exiting to and from B270. Detours will be signposted on site.

Weapon-free zone – Kaiserslautern inner city area

On May 28, the Kaiserslautern inner city area was declared a weapon-free zone. It is now illegal to carry any knives or other weapons within the designated area. Police now have the authority to carry out searches of people and their belongings without probable cause within the weapon-free zone. This move comes as a response to a fatal stabbing near the mall in February of this year.
