Military Star card

To offer greater convenience to service members and their families and further strengthen funding of critical Quality-of-Life programs, the military exchanges’ Exchange Credit program will expand acceptance of the Military Star Card to all commissaries around the world, including the Vogelweh and Ramstein commissaries. By Nov. 9, the card will be accepted throughout the Defense Commissary Agency for all branches of service.

Office closures

The KMC Housing Office as well as the Furnishings Management Section will close at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday due to training. Customer service hours will resume Thursday. The housing office will also be closed Nov. 10 in observation of the holiday.

Free layaway at KMCC

Military members, families and retirees can get a head start on holiday shopping with fee-free layaway from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. The Kaiserslautern Military Community Center Exchange will waive the $3 service fee for items that are placed on layaway and paid for by Dec. 24, including toys and bikes. Purchases of $25 or more are eligible for the layaway plan. A deposit of 15 percent is required to hold items on layaway. Shoppers can visit customer service at the KMCC Exchange for complete program details and eligibility information.
