If Hurricane Florence affected your transiting/stored property

The Ramstein Traffic Management Office tracked Hurricane Florence and its possible effects on personal property facilities in the affected areas. Personnel in the KMC who may have had property stored in or transiting to/from those areas and have been attempting to make contact with Transportation Service Providers or Personal Property Offices, please be patient as we update information as it is provided.

B37 detour

The B37 between Hochspeyer and Frankenstein will be blocked for traffic until Oct. 24 due to surface renewal. A detour will be indicated by road signs. Motorists are asked for their understanding and to apply necessary caution while driving around the detour.

B10 construction period

The B10 at Pirmasens/Fehrbachtunnel will be reduced to one traffic lane only. The exit on B10 towards Fehrbach/Hengsberg will be blocked until Oct. 10. The total construction period will last until Dec. 12. Motorists are asked to drive carefully and follow road signs accordingly.

L382 detour

The L382 between Adenbach and Ginsweiler will be blocked for traffic until Oct. 19 due to support work at the embankment. Road signs will designate the detour route. Motorists are asked for considerate driving and understanding for any inconveniences.

L362/L367 construction

The junction of the L362 and L367 at Reichenbach-Steegen will be blocked for traffic between Oct. 8 and Nov. 2 due to road repair. Road signs will designate the detour route. Motorists are asked for considerate driving and understanding for any inconveniences.

L498 road works

The L498 between Burgalben and Donsieders will be blocked for traffic until Dec. 30. Main Street (Sandweg) in Waldfischbach-Burgalben will also be partially blocked. The carpooling parking lot will still be accessible for vehicles. Road work has become necessary as rain has washed out the embankments potentially causing rocks to roll down onto the road. Motorists are asked to apply caution and to have understanding for any inconveniences this may cause.

Attention retirees

The 2018 Army Retiree Dental Appreciation Day will be Oct. 17. All Army Dental Clinics within the KMC (Baumholder, Kleber, Landstuhl & Pulaski) will be providing dental treatment to military retirees only (sorry, not to family members), from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Dental treatment will range from exam/cleanings to fillings, extractions and prosthetic needs for a select few. Through Oct. 10, call your specific Army Dental Clinic to schedule an appointment. Prior to the scheduled dental appointment, each retiree must come to their respective dental clinic (between 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.) before Oct. 17 to update their medical history and X-rays. Doing this will save much time and allow more retirees to receive treatment on Oct. 17.  Remember, this must be accomplished prior to the RAD Dental Day.

Clinic Phone numbers: Baumholder 06371-9464-1009, 590-1009; LRMC 06371-86-8136, 486-8378; Pulaski 06371-9464-1950, 590-1950; Kleber 06371-9464-2620, 590-2620.

Door-to-door salesmen

Living in Europe you may come across door-to-door salesmen offering to sell a wide variety of items ranging from artwork to produce. If you decide to utilize these services, the 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron urges you to take caution with your transactions. Make sure the price of the goods is clearly established. If you are using a credit/debit card, ensure you double check the transaction total before signing any receipts — read over the entire receipt. If you do not feel comfortable using your credit/debit card, request to use cash instead.
