The first flea market in Quirnbach for the year 2025 is just around the corner.

As usual at the market area next to the Bürgerhaus (Main Street 5). Food and drinks will be provided, including coffee and cake. The stand fee is a flat rate of €5.00. MAY DAY/WITCHES NIGHT

APRIL 30/MAY 1, GERMANY WIDE NATIONAL HOLIDAY

Thursday, May 1 is a national holiday with all public offices and stores closed. The night before (April 30) is also known as “witches’ night” where children go around playing tricks and “decorating” yards. Be sure to secure any loose items that could be taken away. Some villages put up a Maibaum, a decorated tree guarded by villagers, and hold dance events.

Medieval life reigns supreme this weekend in Neumühle Park! There are all sorts of things to marvel at. Market stalls will sell jewelry, beautiful items made of felt, wood, and clay, and wooden swords for little medieval fans. Play games from bygone times, watch old crafts, dance to the music of Mikarus and Vielgestalt, and fortify yourself with food and drink. You can also experience the impressive dragon Fangthorn in the play “Fangthorn and the Treasure of the Elves.”

13TH CULINARY PANORAMA HIKE

Enjoy, marvel, and indulge with a panoramic view – under this motto, the 13th Culinary Panorama Hike invites you to a special experience once again in 2025, one that will delight the whole family. With impressive views of the Glan Valley, the Donnersberg, and the Remigius Mountain, combined with regional delicacies, the hike becomes an unforgettable pleasure. Hiking at your own pace – for all ages and fitness levels: Start your hike in Glan-Münchweiler or at one of the many other entry points along the route. The hiking trail takes you through the towns of Etschberg, Fockenberg-Limbach, Glan-Münchweiler, Haschbach, Matzenbach, Niedermohr, Rehweiler, Reuschbach, and Theisbergstegen. On the ridge paths, you’ll enjoy a stunning panorama. The route is clearly marked with the event logo. GERMAN-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP CONCERT,

USAFE/AFAFRICA BAND

The United States Air Forces in Europe/Africa Concert Band has been entertaining audiences of all ages and nationalities throughout Europe since 1944. The musical program reflects the diverse stylistic heritage of American and European music. The music selection includes the best of American music from the Broadway stage and Hollywood screen to the sounds of New Orleans Dixieland and big band jazz. Light operas, overtures, marches and outstanding vocal and instrumental soloists also ensure an all-round entertaining program. The concert band uses the international language of music to foster cultural relationships and promote international diplomacy wherever it performs.

KONZERT IM VOLKSPARK
