588th STRIEZELMARKT DRESDEN

UNTIL DEC. 24, CITY CENTER, DRESDEN

Dresden’s Striezelmarkt is considered to be the oldest Christmas Market in Germany. But it’s not just its record age that attracts visitors, it also boasts other outstanding features such as the world’s tallest, 14.61 meter high, Ore Mountain step pyramid, likely to be the world’s largest walk-in candle arch. It offers a daily program of cultural Christmas events for young and old. The Striezelmarkt’s premium little touches, such as the Pflaumentoffel, a historically handcrafted edible figurine made from dried plums or the world renowned “Dresdner Stollen” (Christmas cake) make this an extraordinary market. Enjoy a ride on the ferris wheel and marvel a fantastic aerial view over the market and its decorated stalls. https://striezelmarkt.dresden.de/en/
