The festival, known far beyond the town’s borders, presents itself in a fresh, summery way. Celebrations take place on both sides of the almost entirely preserved medieval city wall. Narrow paths, historic narrow streets, and romantic squares invite visitors to linger over the four days of the festival. There’s also plenty to discover in the town’s inns and wine taverns. A medieval ring wall, a baroque old town, mild summer nights, friendly people, fruity wines and sparkling wines, good music, and delicious treats from Palatinate cuisine – that’s the “secret” recipe for a successful Freinsheim City Wall Festival!
