10th Culinary Panorama Hike – Oberes Glantal – May 8

The Union Community Oberes Glantal is hosting the 10th annual “Dining with a view“ Culinary Panorama Hike on Sunday, May 8th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don your hiking boots, inline skates or bicycles and enjoy the best views of Glantal, Donnersberg and Remigiusberg.

This self-paced hike provides food and beverage offerings at various stations along the way with views that invite you to relax and linger.

You can hike along the higher hiking trails in the region with panaoramic views or experience the handicap accessible path. The Glan-Blies-Radweg (bike route) offers a smooth and level paved path and is ideal for baby buggies, inline skates and bikes, and is situated along several train stations.

The route leadss along Etschberg, Fockenberg-Lim-bach, Glan-Münchweiler, Haschbach, Matzen-bach, Nieder-mohr, Rehweiler, Reuschbach and Theisberg-stegen.

Kaiserslautern County Family Day – June 25

The Union Community of Ramstein-Miesenbach and the County of Kaiserslautern are organizing a day revolving around family, leisure and tourism on June 25, at the Congress Center Ramstein (CCR) in Ramstein-Miesenbach. The organizers would like to invite any interested groups in the Kaiserslautern Military Community to join in the fun events and present themselves with booths, information, games and displays.

Organizations or clubs that would like to participate can contact host.nations@us.af.mil for more information.

The day’s events will include booths of various institutions, organizations, clubs and tourism as well as foosball, billiards, ping-pong tables and ball games.

The outdoor area will be dedicated to an active participation program for children and teens, along with culinary delights and a musical program. Street soccer, street basketball and other fun activities will be offered here as well. The Red Cross Youth and the Ramstein Youth Fire Department will participate and the day will be musically rounded off by the Kaiserslautern District Musical School.

County Commissioner Ralf Leßmeister and Mayor of the Union Community of Ramstein-Miesenbach Ralf Hechler, will also be in attendance.
