USAFE-AFAFRICA launches Spark Tank 2022 competition

U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa launched the Spark Tank 2022 competition across the command following the U.S. Air Force’s AFWERX kickoff of the annual innovation showcase.

Spark Tank is an annual competition, which gives Airmen and Guardians the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas to top Air Force leaders and industry professionals. Each idea submitted will compete for funding and resources as the Air Force looks to implement innovative solutions to challenging problems across the force.

A USAFE-AFAFRICA panel of judges will review the command’s submissions throughout the competition, which officially opened August 2.

Videos are not required to be professionally created or produced, but the video must be reviewed and cleared for release by the unit’s Public Affairs office. All videos must be loaded to the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) and accessioned using the tags “AFINNOFET” and “SparkTank2022.” Ensure the video’s name is the same as the name on the G.A.I.N. platform submission.
