Jazz festival at Nanstein Castle
The annual jazz festival, Burg Jazz, kicks off at 7 p.m. today at Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl. The New Orleans Preachers and Swingin’ Fireballs perform tonight. Saturday, starting at 7 p.m., the Unnerhaus Jazz Band and Les Haricots Rouge from France present their musical repertory. After-show parties start at midnight. Tickets cost €24 per day. • The German Radio Philharmonics Saarbruecken Kaiserslautern present works by Niccolo Paganini and Boris Blacher, 1 p.m. Aug. 31. Tickets with lunch at noon cost €23; tickets without lunch cost €13.
