The following is a list of performances and events happening in the KMC and nearby locations. Dates are subject to change.


Photo by City of KaiserslauternLong Night of CultureKaiserslautern celebrates its “Long Night of Culture” at 6 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday in more than 30 different locations, such as Fruchthalle (featured photo), Pfalztheater, Museum Pfalzgalerie, Theodor-Zink-Museum, churches, the Japanese Garden and others. More than 800 artists will perform. There are video and light installations, musical performances, plays and exhibitions. Admission for all events is €12. Visitors receive a wristband granting access to all locations. The late-night tariff starting at midnight is €2. For more information and the program, visit www.kaiserslautern.de

Long Night of Culture

• “Romeo und Julia,” a ballet by James Sutherland with music by Sergej Prokofjew, 3 p.m. Sunday (with childcare) and 6 p.m. June 19.
• “Nur noch kurz die Welt retten,” a Europe revue, 8 p.m. Thursday.
• “Der kleine Horrorladen,” “Little Shop of Horror,” a musical by Alan Menken, in German, 7:30 p.m. June 17 and 24.
• “Das Mass der Dinge,” a play by Neil LaBute, in German, 8 p.m. June 17, 29 and 30.
• “Idomeno,” an opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in Italian, 7:30 p.m. June 18, 21 and 29.

• “Tristan und Isolde,” a musical drama by Richard Wagner, 5 p.m. June 25.

Kaiserslautern, Volkspark (duck pond at corner of Entersweiler-/Donnersberger Strasse):
• Outdoor concert with the music group Saaravanka presenting musical greetings from Bohemia and Moravia, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Snacks and beverages are available in bistro. Children’s adventure playground is next to music pavilion.

Kaiserslautern, Bremerhof beergarden, Bremerhof 1:
• Diamond Moments perform swing and pop, 7 p.m. Thursday. Admission is free.
