The following is a list of performances and events happening in the KMC and nearby locations. Dates are subject to change.

Visitors can enjoy a diversified musical program featuring rock, pop, funk, blues and jazz in the historical center of town. Stores are open from 1 to  6 p.m. Sunday. Fest hours are from 6 p.m. to midnight today, 11:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The center of town is closed to motorized traffic. • German singer Julia Neigel presents her new live program, 8 p.m. today. Tickets cost €22.

Fruchthalle, Kaiserslautern:
• The German State Philharmonics Rheinland-Pfalz present a symphony concert, “From Babelsberg to Hollywood,” highlighting composers emigrating from Europe to Hollywood in the 1920s and 1930s, 8 p.m. today. Tickets cost €17 to €25.

JUZ (Youth Center), Steinstrasse 47, Kaiserslautern:
• The band Poison & Wine performs folk and pop, 8 p.m. today. Tickets cost €7.50.

Kaiserslautern, Volkspark (duck pond at corner of Entersweiler-/Donnersberger Strasse):
• Outdoor concert with the music group Saaravanka presenting musical greetings from Bohemia and Moravia, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 12. Admission is free.


Landstuhl Stadthalle:
• Godfather of bass Rolf-Dieter Schnapka and his Fantastic Band Schnapka Connection perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets cost €20.

Bildhaus Musikclub Ventil, Hahnbacherhof 2, 67701 Schallodenbach:

Delicacies market

• Mehlingen (Kapiteltal), ZAK adventure day, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event features guided tours through the central waste management plant, live music, children’s activities and food specialties. Parking is only available at the P+R Schweinsdell parking lot, exit A6 Kaiserslautern-Ost. Shuttles take visitors to the event grounds.

• Ramstein-Miesenbach, Marktplatz, wine fest with food specialties and wines from Germany, Italy and Spain starting at 6 p.m. today and 4 p.m. Saturday. Live music by Sergeant tonight, and party bands Bumsfallera and Huettenrocker Saturday night.


• Hermersberg (10 km south of Landstuhl, north of Waldfischbach-Burgalben), culinary hike, 8 a.m. Sunday near Sportplatz. Breakfast buffet is set up form 8 to 10 a.m. in Sportheim. Six,- 10- and 14-km tours lead along culinary stations; there is live music, a disc jockey and flamenco dancers.
