The carnival site on Schlossplatz with rides and vendors opens at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The official opening with tapping the first keg of beer is at 6:30 p.m. near the fountain in front of the museum. A Bavarian evening with party band begins at 7 p.m. in the Festhaus. Tickets cost €7. The fest parade with numerous walking groups, floats and bands start at 2 p.m. Sunday.
