Wildlife Accident Reporting

It is not uncommon for vehicles to hit wildlife around the Kaiserslautern Military Community. The occurrence is especially high in forested areas and at dusk. You can minimize chances of collision with a wild animal by driving slowly and cautiously.

If you do hit an animal, however, you must call the police at 112. They can respond and notify the appropriate certified forestry officer.

The more precise the location information that you give the police, the easier it will be for them to find the animal. Police will record the accident, which will help you claim any damage to your vehicle.
