In a small corner of the world, there is a school that resides in the poorest country in Europe — the Republic of Moldova. This particular school is a special needs school that accommodates students from the ages of kindergarten through high school. In Chisinau, Moldova, more than 150 students, who are to some degree deaf or blind, learn how to become active and functional members of society.

The last weekend of the month in Ramstein-Miesenbach is always dedicated to “Wendelinusmarkt,” a market featuring vendors, exhibitors, music and food specialties. The market will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the center of town.

They are then transported, by the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility on Ramstein, from LRMC to the Ramstein flightline where they receive care before they are transported elsewhere for further attention.
