Soldiers from the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s Special Troops Battalion participate in an esprit de corps run as a part of Millrinder Day events Aug. 6.  Each month, Soldiers with the 21st TSC participate in Millrinder Day in order to build unit cohesion through activities such as the unit run, wearing the “Class A” or “Class B” uniforms and conducting uniform inspections.

Airman 1st Class Fred Jones, 786th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, looks to make sure a tractor trailer hitch is properly aligned during the Air Force Civil Engineer Center Tractor Trailer Training program Aug. 10 on Ramstein. The program teaches students how to safely drive and maneuver tractor trailers and includes an average of 58 hours of behind-the-wheel training.

Car-free event day in Appelbachtal
The road from Würzweiler, northeast of Rockenhausen, to Pfaffen-Schwabenheim, Bad Kreuznach county, in the valley called Appelbachtal will close to motorized traffic Sunday for a car-free family day. Bikers, hikers and skaters can enjoy the 30 km car-free route from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Restaurants, associations and institutions in the villages along that road will offer culinary specialties, regional wines, live music and displays. Children can jump on bouncy castles, go on pony rides and get their faces painted. Participants can also explore churches and historical sites such as the castle ruins in Neu-Bamberg.
