The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz’s main library on Landstuhl partnered with the Landstuhl Elementary-Middle School for a very successful Story Walk Volksmarch Oct. 2. Not only did the event tie in directly with the school’s wellness goals, but it also addressed literacy goals in a fun way. Library staff posted new book information and exercise sheets strategically along the volksmarch path for middle school students. In addition, staff posted two picture book stories for elementary school students who read along with their teachers and parents while walking the fun route through nature. This is the third partnership Story Walk Volksmarch for the school and library.
