***image1***Fun and games were the order of the day Aug. 20, during an Organizational Day on Daenner Kaserne.Soldiers and families from the Special Troops Battalion, 21st
Theater Sustainment Command, were able to relax for a few hours even though the unit is currently supporting the humanitarian mission in Georgia.

“We all have worked hard over the past several days,” said Lt. Col. Joe Arnold, commander of the STB. “This is an unusually high operations tempo we are currently working under and this is a time to give a ‘thank you’ back to the families.”

Some of the activities on the sports complex at Daenner Kaserne were volleyball, horseshoes, tug-of-war, kids games and a water balloon toss. There was even a dunk tank in which the battalion commander had an opportunity to take a swim or two.

Despite the intermittent rain, the Soldiers and families were able to enjoy the day while playing games or listening to music from the 76th Army Band under the mess tent while everyone enjoyed an all-American barbeque.

“I just would like to thank everyone for a job well done on setting up for this event,” said Colonel Arnold.
