Benenati, 7th Civil Support Command commanding general spoke to 406th Human Resources Company Soldiers, friends and family members before the Soldiers departed to Kuwait and Afghanistan Jan. 19 for a nine-month deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit will perform human resources support, reception staging and onward movement as well as casualty assistance in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.

“This is my second deployment with the 7th CSC,” said Staff Sgt. Mark Korte, squad leader, 1st Squad, 1st Platoon, 406th HR Co. “We are ready. Human resources is a very diverse field, and in casualty assistance, there is no room for failure. We have trained extensively in the last couple of months, and I am confident that we will be very successful downrange. It is an honor to have a chance to work in the Casualty Assistance Center downrange, and this unit has done everything possible to prepare us for our mission.”
