Tech. Sgt. Solomon Rigsby, 86th Civil Engineer Squadron assistant chief of HAZMAT and safety, stands guard during a retreat ceremony Wednesday on Ramstein in remembrance of 9/11. This year’s ceremony was hosted by the 86th CES fire department, 86th Medical Group and the 86th Security Forces Squadron. Ramstein’s first responders save lives every day as did those who responded to the events on Sept. 11, 2001. Wednesday’s retreat paid homage to those who gave their lives so that others may live.
