Air Force campaign opens for donations starting Monday

Ramstein residents will have the opportunity to help Air Force members and their families by contributing to the Air Force Assistance Fund starting Monday.
The AFAF Campaign raises money for four charities directly benefiting active duty, Reserve, Guard and retired Air Force members and families to include surviving spouses and their families.
These charities receive 100 percent of the donations from the AFAF Campaign. This is the only fund-raiser that goes directly back to Air Force people.
Donations to the AFAF can be made through cash, check or payroll deduction. Contributors may designate their contributions to one or more of four charities. Contributions to the AFAF are tax deductible as an itemized federal deduction.
For more information on the campaign, visit the Air Force Personnel Center’s Voting and Fundraising Web site,, then click on “Fundraising.”
People who would like to make a contribution to the AFAF can contact their unit representative or their base family support center.
