Airman 1st Class Michael Pretzer, 1st Combat Communication Squadron, was tried in a general court-martial and found guilty of one specification for failure to obey a no-contact order, in violation of Article 92 of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice.

He was found not guilty – but only by reason of lack of mental responsibility – of one specification for maiming and two specifications for assault.  Additionally, the military judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation Dec. 19.  The court will reconvene to conduct a hearing on the mental condition of Airman Pretzer Jan. 19.

The member was sentenced to a reduction in grade to airman basic, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, confinement for six months and a bad conduct discharge.
