US forces customs officials crack down on fuel card abuse

The Army and Air Force Exchange Service fuel card makes it easy for U.S. forces personnel to fill up their vehicles with tax-free fuel in Germany. U.S. Army Europe
Office of the Provost Marshal officials said the system’s automated features also make it simple for customs investigators to track suspicious transactions.

Aeromedical evac tests new device for patient records

A new “my Wi-Fi” hot spot device was tested by aeromedical evacuation crewmembers July 19. “My Wi-Fi” is a secure, off-the-shelf device that acts as a hot spot and allows aeromedical evacuation crewmembers to send patient records to that person’s next location before they arrive.

Air Force undertakes forceshaping initiatives

The Air Force ended fiscal year 2012 with 159 Airmen over end strength and anticipates ending fiscal year 2013 at or marginally over end strength. The fiscal year 2014 budget requests active duty end strength at 327,600, which is a further reduction of 1,860 from fiscal year 2013 active duty authorized end strength. As a result, the Air Force is implementing the following voluntary force management programs.
