The Department of State implemented a new Schedule of Fees for Consular Services in the Federal Register July 13.

Seventeenth Air Force welcomed a new commander June 28 as Brig. Gen.
Margaret H. Woodward received the guidon in a change of command
ceremony here.

General Woodward took charge of the organization, also known as Air
Forces Africa for its role as the air component to U.S. Africa Command,
from Maj. Gen. Ronald R. Ladnier.
