38th CSW celebrates 2nd anniversary
The 38th Combat Support Wing stood up in May of 2004 with only five
people and no computers, building furniture or phones. In two years,
it has developed into a 2,900-person wing with a $350 million budget.

New KMC tobacco policy unveiled
Col. Richard Johnston, 86th Airlift Wing and KMC Commander, recently
signed policy letter No. 28 governing tobacco use in the KMC. The
purpose of this policy is to ensure that federal employees and members
of the public are not subject to the harmful effects of secondhand
smoke. Tobacco use is inconsistent with healthy lifestyles, physical
fitness, appropriate military image and ultimate mission readiness.

Mandatory Smart Card
After Monday all Ramstein domain users will be migrating to Smart Card
Log-on. SCL requires users to log-on to the network using their CAC and
a PIN number instead of the traditional username and password.
