The United States Air Forces in Europe men’s and women’s soccer teams practiced in Kaiserslautern, Sept. 13 to 17, in preparation for the Allied Air Command Soccer Championship in Lechfeld, Germany, Sept. 18 to 22.

The smell of brand-new fitness equipment fills the air inside of the Special Events Center on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. It comes from hundreds of never-before-used items that have been set in place for the functional fitness area slated to open this fall. Walking into the spacious new area is like setting foot into uncharted gym territory. The lucky ones to put this equipment to use for the first time will be the Soldiers of U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz.
