Change of traffic pattern on Ramstein

***image1***Starting June 4 the installation of a new water line will begin on Ramstein. This work will take place on Jefferson Avenue between Lincoln Boulevard and the Northside gym and will be completed in for phases; each lasting approximately four weeks. The first phase will extend from Lincoln Boulevard to Jackson Street.

During this time, eastbound Jefferson Avenue traffic will continue as normal through the construction site.  Westbound traffic will be routed through the USAFE administrative and civil engineering compounds to Lincoln Boulevard as shown right. The flow of traffic is expected to be slower, but all areas can be reached. Public bus traffic will be kept up and the bus schedule will not be affected in any way.

The 435th Vehicle Readiness Squadron base shuttle will temporarily change its driving route and relocate one of the stops.  During the construction project, the base shuttle will not travel down Jefferson Avenue, and the bus stop at the base library will relocate to the Northside Fitness Center. All pick up times will remain the same.

Completion is projected for the end of October. Work will be done by 435th Civil Engineering and Construction Flight. For details, call 480-9043.

Questions on the base shuttle can be directed to the 435 VRS/Vehicle Dispatch Section at 480-5961 or 480-5962.
