Classes and training
If you’ve ever wanted to have the opportunity to mold civilians into Airmen as an Air Force Military Training Instructor, the MTI Recruiting Team can answer any questions you may have concerning this challenging and rewarding career. The team will brief on all aspects of MTI special duty opportunities at 10 a.m. May 22 in the Nightingale Theater on Ramstein.

Spouses are highly encouraged to attend.  
Airmen 1st class with at least 24 months time in service through technical sergeants with less than 16 years total active federal military service are invited to attend the briefing and eligible to apply for this special duty assignment. Master sergeants are hired on a case-by-case basis. The team can expedite the processing of an applicant’s special duty application if they bring it with them to the briefing. To obtain a copy of the AETC special duty application, contact the wing career adviser.
The Kaiserslautern’s Army Career and Alumni Program Office hosts pre-separation briefings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday in Room 207, Bldg. 3245 on Kleber Kaserne. These briefings are mandatory and provide the required
paperwork for separation and retirement orders.

Soldiers who are one year from their Estimated Time of Service and two years from their retirement dates should call the ACAP Office for appointments. Soldiers must attend a briefing no later than 90 days prior to separating from the Army. Spouses of active-duty Soldiers are entitled to the services offered by ACAP. These services include resume classes, registering for Veterans Affairs’ briefings and job searches. Retired Soldiers and their spouses are entitled to ACAP assistance for life. The Kaiserslautern Transition Center hosts a pre-separation briefing from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
June 2 in Bldg. 3245 on Kleber Kaserne. Soldiers are required to take this presentation at least 90 days prior to separating (not retiring) from the Army. This briefing informs Soldiers about the process required to separate from the Army. To register, call 483-7071 or 0631-411-7071.

U.S. Army Garrison-Kaiserslautern’s Equal Opportunity Office hosts Prevention of Sexual Harassment Training 9 a.m. Thursday in the Learning Center in
Bldg. 3718 on Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. For details, call the garrison’s Equal Employment Office at 493-4277 or 0631-3406-4277.

Employee Assistance Program’s Substance Abuse Training for all Department of Army civilians is 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Learning Center in
Bldg. 3718 on Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This counts as one hour of the two-hour annual requirement for Department of Army civilians. This training will include self-assessment tools and links for information, as well as a brief on community resources.
