Brig. Gen. Patrick Mordente, 86th Airlift Wing commander, meets with Airmen of Moron Air Base, Spain, Tuesday. As a geographically separated unit of the 86th AW, the 496th Air Base Squadron based at Moron is also the prime location for both Southwest Asia and the U.S. Africa Command and has the longest operating runway in U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
