Get Outdoors with Army ODR Virtual Contest

MWReligible patrons can enjoy time outside during the Get Outdoors with Army Outdoor Recreation virtual contest open through Oct. 31. Each completed activity or equipment rental at Baumholder or Kaiserslautern ODR earns an entry into monthly prize drawings. Participants must submit the official online form for every qualifying action. Winners are announced the second Friday after each month. Bay Rental Special

Family and MWR Automotive Skills Centers on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, and Landstuhl Post and Pulaski Barracks in Kaiserslautern are offering a $2 discount per hour on all bay fees for E-5 and below military service members throughout July. The promotion applies to active-duty, reserve and retired personnel. The centers aim to make vehicle maintenance more accessible for lower-enlisted service members. Midnight Bowl-a-thon

Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks, will host Monthly Midnight Bowling on select Fridays from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event is open to adults 18 and older and costs $15 per person, which includes lane use and shoe rental. Scheduled dates include July 10, Aug. 7 and Sep. 4. Find out more at baumholder.armymwr.com.

Legoland KMC BOSS Trip

A Kaiserslautern BOSS trip to Legoland Deutschland Resort is scheduled for July 11, with registration open through July 10. The group will depart at 8 a.m. from Bldg. 277 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, and 18 spots are available. Eligible soldiers may register through the KMC BOSS WhatsApp group using the QR code on flyers or at kaiserslautern.armymwr.com. Family Fundays at Baumholder Recreation Center

The Baumholder Recreation Center, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks, hosts its monthly Family Funday every second Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., featuring a handson craft, a family movie on the big screen and free popcorn. Craft kits are free but limited, and registration is required by the Wednesday prior at usag_rp_bmc_rec_ctr@army.mil. Craft previews are posted on the Baumholder Recreation Center Facebook Group. Baumholder 101

Meet new and seasoned spouses at the Baumholder 101 held either twice or once a month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Post Office building 8661 on Smith Barracks. The next one is Monday, July 13. The goal of this orientation is to connect families with resources, community information, local agencies and services, and other Spouses. There will be representatives from Army Community Service, Outdoor Recreation, Value Added Tax, and many others. The orientation is not limited to incoming Spouses and is open to all Spouses. SKIES Soccer Summer Camps

Register your child now for SKIES Unlimited soccer training for youth ages 2 to 16. Outdoor Trainings are held July 13-15 and Aug. 12-14 at the Pulaski Field on Pulaski Barracks.  Times and fees vary by age and are listed on webtrac.mwr.army.mil. Open to ID card holders from all branches of service. Taught by professional soccer coaches. SKIES Irish Dance Classes

Register your child now for SKIES Unlimited Irish Dance Classes for ages 4 to 18 at the SKIES Bldg. 3819 on Landstuhl Post. Summer camps are currently offered for the following dates: July 13 to 16, and July 20 to 23, Monday to Thursday. Books & Beans Monthly Book Club

Landstuhl Library and the ROB Java Café will launch a new monthly adult book club meeting on the second Tuesday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m. The next one is July 14. The program is open to participants ages 18 and older, with refreshments available for purchase at the Java Café and a childfriendly play area on site. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. No registration is required, and patrons can find details about selected titles and access options at kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.  The Java Café is in Building 273 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks.

Dungeons and Dragons Club

Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post, has a new after-school Dungeons and Dragons club every Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The next one is July 16. The program is open to ages 8 and older with registration required due to limited space. Prost, Prose & Paint

Raise your glass and your creativity at Prost, Prose & Paint, a sip-and-paint with a literary twist, on select dates in 2026 at 6 p.m. in Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Dates: July 16, and Oct. 15.  This is for those 18 and older. Food and beverages are available for purchase. No outside food or beverages permitted. Single Soldier Day

The Baumholder Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers is hosting a Single Soldier Day Event July 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hall of Champions and Minnick Field. The event welcomes Single Soldiers, geographical bachelors, and single parents. Attendees can expect an array of food trucks, and music. The event will feature a Flag Football and soccer tournaments. Interested individuals can register on the day of the event, and all participants will receive a briefing on the rules beforehand. Flag Football & Soccer Start Smart Enrollments

Start Smart Flag Football and Soccer enrollments for Kaiserslautern is now to July 27 or when slots are full. Cost is $25. Start Smart is a parent/ child interactive program for 3–4-year-olds, led by a Sports/ Fitness Specialist.  Start Smart teaches children the skills they need to play organized sports in a FUN, non-competitive environment over the course of six, 45-minute sessions. Flag football is offered July 13 to 17 at 5 p.m. on Landstuhl Post. Soccer is offered Aug. 3 to 7 at 5 p.m. on Landstuhl Post. Baumholder Fall Start Smart

Baumholder Fall Start Smart registration for ages 2 to 4, for the Baumholder community is now to Aug. 16. Sports offered are soccer, cheer and flag football for ages 3 and 4, and Move & Play for ages 2 to 3.  Start Smart is a Child/Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. Baumholder Fall Sports Coaches Needed

Volunteer coach recruitment is underway for the upcoming fall season, with openings in youth sports coaching across Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Archery, Bowling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The program offers benefits such as volunteer hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100% sportsfee discount for coaches’ children and signature Baumholder sports gear. Volunteers play a critical role in supporting the community and strengthening the mission. Registration for fall youth sports for the Baumholder community is now to Aug. 16.  Sports offered are soccer, ages 5-15, $70; flag football, Ages 7-14, $70; cheer, ages 5-15, $70, golf, ages 8-15, $70, volleyball, ages 9 to 15, $70, cross country, ages 8-15, $70, archery clinic, ages 9-15, $55, bowling clinic, 8 to 15, $55, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Clinic, ages 6 to 12, $55. Sports Physicals/ Health Assessments must be on file and valid to Nov. 15 to participate. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
