Welcome to the KMC Housing Office!

The KMC Housing Office is ready to support you in the transition to your new home and community! As a reminder, please ensure you have completed your mandatory housing briefing within two business days of arrival. You cannot certify a lease or submit a TLA Claim until the briefing has been completed and the Housing Office receives all required documents.

Briefings are held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning at 09:00 at the KMC Housing Office on Kapaun and you are encouraged register at https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/2dG8RvF87R to secure a seat since space is limited. New members can also receive housing information at the Ramstein Newcomers Orientation held each Wednesday-Thursday at the Ramstein Enlisted Club, hosted by the Ramstein M&FRC. Briefing information can also be sent upon request via our orgbox email, kmchousing@us.af.mil.

If you are looking for homes to rent, it helps to know where to start. www.Homes.mil is the only DoD-sponsored site exclusively listing available, KMC Housing-inspected and approved rentals in the KMC area. For additional assistance finding available properties, you can visit the Housing Referral Section during our walk-in hours. Sponsors are required to help ensure new members can view available homes and fulfill all in-processing requirements.

Once you have found the right property, the next step is to get your rental agreement certified by our office. DoD Members SHOULD NOT sign the rental agreement until visiting the KMC Housing Office and the Referral Section has reviewed and certified it.

Bring a physical copy of the original contract, signed only by the Landlord, to the KMC Housing Office during our walk-in hours. You will complete a same-day contract review and certification.  Please be aware that this could take time and you should be prepared to wait. Our office can be especially busy on Mondays and the day after a holiday weekend.

Don’t forget that you must visit the Housing Office in-person every 15 days to submit your TLA claims. Come prepared with an itemized, paid Lodging Receipt and a Landlord Contact Sheet tracking the homes that you have already viewed.

Community your new home!
