SKIESUnlimited: German Classes

SKIESUnlimited: Voice Lessons
Children ages 8-18 can now learn how to develop a strong, healthy singing voice with SKIESUnlimited Voice Lessons. Private lessons are offered on Pulaski Barracks, Bldg. 2901 and Landstuhl, Bldg. 3819. Participants will be trained on breath control, music theory and vocal techniques. SKIESUnlimited: Engineering Classes
Children ages 4+ will be introduced to the fundamentals of engineering. Students will have an opportunity to build electrical engines, working draw-bridges, fully functioning cranes and basic gear boxes. Students will also be introduced to engineering concepts using pneumatic principles and equipment. All of this is done using the registered brand of Fischertechnik materials. Worksheets will be handed out so that children can expand their understanding of learned concepts outside of the classroom. SKIESUnlimited: Music Together and Caterpillar Music Classes
Skies Unlimited is now offering a fun way to introduce your little one to music through specially created programs called Caterpillar Music classes and Music Together classes. Caterpillar Music classes for young children ages 2-3 offer a unique introduction to music with exciting themes, colorful instruments and amazing puppets. Music together is a rich music and movement program for children age 4-6 that develops not only music skills, but also skills essential for a well-rounded education. Music develops the child’s mind, body and spirit simultaneously. SKIESUnlimited: Theater Classes
Did you know that children involved with theatrical arts programs outscore their non-arts student peers by an average of 65 points on SAT/ACT tests? Theater provides a safe, secure environment where children learn skill sets including public speaking, coping mechanisms, reading comprehension, verbal/non-verbal communication and more. SKIESUnlimited offers “Intro to Theatre” for ages 5-12 and “Shakespeare Scenes” for ages 12 and older. SKIESUnlimited: Drum Lessons
Is this your biggest wish- to learn how to play the drums and groove along to your favorite tunes? So here’s your chance to get some professional advice. Each student obtains individual support to achieve his or her personal goals. Step by step, with no pressure, and emphasis on fun. Your child will explore the world of rhythms and cool grooves. Stick control, technique and reading music get explained in a musical context. (Electronic Drum Set used for drum lessons at this time.) SKIESUnlimited: Cheer and Tumbling Classes
SKIESUnlimited offers cheer and tumbling classes for youth, ages 6-18. Classes help to improve strength, flexibility, jumps and tumbling. Classes are offered on a monthly basis at the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Special Events Center, Bldg. 237. Open to all branches of service. KMC Teen Shuttle
Child and Youth Services offer a KMC Teen Shuttle service.  Pick-up/Drop-off points are located throughout Vogelweh, Vogelweh Housing, Ramstein, and Landstuhl. ID card, shuttle card and permissions slips are required to ride the shuttle. Apply for your Shuttle Card at Parent Central Services, Rhine Ordnance Bks., Bldg. 162, 541-9066; 0611-143-541-9066.


SKIESUnlimited: Driver’s Education for High School Students

Clubs Available at Landstuhl School Age Center
Did you know that Landstuhl School Age Center has several different clubs open to students, Grades 1-5? The different weekly clubs include Theater, Fitness, Art, Lego Robotics and Film! Homework Assistance for Teens
USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Youth Programs provide a homework lab, tutoring and one-on-one homework assistance during Power Hour at the Youth Center, 3-4 p.m. on Monday-Friday. Homework contracts are available to clarify direction of help needed and to get the student, Academic Program Manager and parents on the same page for daily or weekly goals and expectations. This is a great resource for youth that need additional help or just a quiet place to focus on their academics. Toddler Storytime at Rheinland-Pfalz Library

Lapsit Storytime
Join the Rheinland-Pfalz Library for Lapsit Storytime! This infant story time is held every Thursday, 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event includes sensory crafts, songs, finger-plays and stories. Light refreshments are available for the parents. Because of limited space, sign-up is required. A waitlist is also available, in which parents are notified the Saturday prior if a space has become available. World War I Remembrance Film Series
On the 3rd Wednesday of each month, join Rheinland-Pfalz Library in screening a variety of high quality films chronicling U.S. involvement in World War I. This makes a great educational family night.
