Fancy Nancy Tea Party

On Feb. 9, join CYS and the Rheinland-Pfalz Library for the third annual Fancy Nancy Tea Party! Dress up in your finest tea party clothes to learn proper tea manners and enjoy high tea with “Fancy” herself. Homework Assistance for Teens

USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Youth Programs provide a homework lab, tutoring and one-on-one homework assistance during Power Hour at the Youth Center, 3 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Homework contracts are available to clarify direction of help needed and to get the student, Academic Program Manager and parents on the same page for daily or weekly goals and expectations. This is a great resource for youth that need additional help or just a quiet place to focus on their academics. Family Child Care providers needed

Family Child Care providers are needed in the Baumholder Military Community. FCC is a great way to start your own business. As a FCC provider, you perform a valuable service to the community and can earn a yearly income ranging from $20,000 to $40,000. American Sign Language Class and Workshop

This class provides students with an opportunity to learn both the language and culture of the American Deaf community. The class will work on basic receptive and expressive American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary and grammatical structure, as well as fingerspelling. Upon completion of this class participants will have a vocabulary of about 100 words in ASL. Following completion participants will have the opportunity to advance to intermediate class which focuses on conversational skills and more in-depth reception skills. Engineering Classes

Children ages 4+ will be introduced to the fundamentals of engineering. Students will have an opportunity to build electrical engines, working draw-bridges, fully functioning cranes and basic gear boxes. Students will also be introduced to engineering concepts using pneumatic principles and equipment. All of this is done using the registered brand of Fischertechnik materials. Worksheets will be handed out so that children can expand their understanding of learned concepts outside of the classroom. Musical Theatre Dance Classes

Do you love the show-stopping, toe-tapping numbers in a musical? Do you love to express yourself through stories and dance? Then Musical Theatre Dance is for you! SKIESUnlimited offers lessons to youth, ages 5-18. The first half of class focuses on a good warm-up and jazz technique, and the second half teaches a routine in the style of musical theatre from your favorite songs and shows. Classes are offered on Pulaski Barracks and Landstuhl.
