Air Force members are not permitted to attach or affix jewelry or ornamentation to or through any exposed body part (or visible through clothing). This applies when in uniform or in civilian clothes while on official duty. This also applies when in civilian clothes on a military installation. The only exception is that women may wear one set of small, spherical earrings in the earlobe. This means that men in the Air Force are not permitted to wear earrings while on a military installation, either in uniform or civilian clothes. For more information, consult AFI 36-2903, Table 2.5 and 2.6.
