The Kingfish were Berlin bound Nov. 4 and it started with an early
morning departure by bus, train, or automobile. The team finally made
it to the hotel, but with the meet not until Sunday there was plenty of
time for some sightseeing.

After a good night’s rest, the team was ready to dive in and rack up the points.
The Kingfish went head to head with the Berlin Bear-A-Cudas and the
Aviano Sea Dragons. Once the meet got underway the Kingfish swimmers
started winning and after 52 events, the final score was KTown 505.5,
Berlin 320.5, and Aviano 65. The meet went quickly and the buses were
on the way back to Kaiserslautern by 2:30 p.m.

“This was an awesome meet and it brought back fond memories,” said
Kingfish assistant coach Jenny Clinton, who swam her very first swim
meet here back in 1986.

Overall, the trip and meet was a great success.  The Kingfish have
a break this weekend however they will be on the road again next
weekend to compete in two meets in Belgium.
