***image1***The RAF Ramstein Rogues Rugby Club traveled to Frankfurt Saturday to take on Eintracht Rugby Club from Hessen.

The Rogues came in riding a three-game winning streak, but came up short in a physical battle against Eintracht.

“It was a hard fought battle, that often turned chaotic and confrontational,” said team chairman Al Cagle.

The final score read 20-8, but the Rogues came out of the battle knowing they gave a good effort.

“(We) played a game from the heart as best as we could, the new
recruits were in middle of most plays and we didn’t take the loss
without delivering some punishment back,” said Ramstein fullback Brad
Walters.

The Rogues players displayed their worth and their stamina during the match.
The team arrived in Frankfurt with the minimum of 15 players and every player finished the match without substitution.

Scoring for Ramstein during the match were Tyler Massey and Wayne Broom.
The next two games for Ramstein will be a home match against Worms and then a road match against Kaiserslautern/Speyer.
