The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz ID card office on Kleber Kaserne has begun using a system through which customers can set up appointments online.

However, Sean Osborne, who works at the passport office, said it is only one appointment per customer. For example, a sponsor who needs new cards for him- or herself and three children would need to create four adjacent appointments at the site.

“It’s an easy system to use,” said David Lingo, the garrison’s ID cards and passports section supervisor.
Immediately upon confirming their appointments, customers receive an email with detailed instructions about what they need to bring to the ID card office. Lingo said customers must read and comply with the instructions to ensure they are not turned away.

Customers may find the details under “hot topics” on the garrison website at www.rp.army.mil or on the appointment-creating website at https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil/appointment/confirmation.aspx.
