Miscellaneous
For the third consecutive year, U.S. Air Forces in Europe Services and AAFES are teaming up to support Project CHEER by offering free movies at select Air Force base movie theaters on Christmas Day. The free movie program, dubbed “Merry Movie Magic,” includes free admission, plus one medium serving of popcorn and one medium soda to those attending a specifically designated movie. Airmen should check AAFES movie theater schedules and base papers for specific times and movie titles. The free movie will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Although this is a Project CHEER command event, the free movies are open to all DOD ID cardholders. ID cards will be required to gain entrance.

For its annual Pfennig bazaar, the German-American and International Women’s Club Kaiserslautern is looking for donations including clothes, curtains, shoes, household items, electrical appliances, toys and books. They don’t collect mattresses, furniture, skis and other bulk items. Donations can be dropped off noon to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 3 and Feb. 7 in PRE Park, Strassburger Allee 4 in Kaiserslautern. The Vogelweh Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts sell Christmas trees in the lot next to the Vogelweh Shopette. Hours are 5 to 8 pm. today, Thursday and Dec. 22; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 23 in the lot next to the Vogelweh Shopette.

The Ramstein Boy Scouts of America sell trees next to the Canadian Club. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 5 to 8 p.m. today and Monday; and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A new illustrated book of Ramstein-Miesenbach has been published recently with English text and cutlines. Cost is €14.90 The book is available for sale at the book store Koch, Sporthaus Hechler and Printing Plant Paque in Ramstein-Miesenbach.
