***image1***The 415th Base Support Battalion’s Installation Volunteer Program is a gateway to endless volunteer opportunities for personal growth.
The function of the program is to bring together potential volunteers and agencies needing volunteers. The program works with various agencies throughout the community to provide the necessary training and resources to aid volunteers in their volunteer positions
One such agency is Army Family Team Building. The team building’s mission is to help the military family become a stronger, more solid unit ready to endure a military lifestyle.
Another aspect of the team building is to help volunteers garner skills necessary for a successful volunteer career. It is a program designed for and by volunteers. Volunteers interested in helping others in the learning process prepare and teach a majority of the classes offered.
With the program, volunteers can brush up on their military terms, acronyms and customs as well as learn management skills, such as communications, time management, stress management and group dynamics, just to mention a few.
